Check whether your insurer needs a GP referral and an authorisation code. Bring any scans, letters and a list of your medicines.
2
Your consultation
Mr Reddy asks about your symptoms and goals, examines you and reviews or arranges X-rays or an MRI scan.
3
Deciding together
You hear every option — non-surgical and surgical — with the likely benefits and risks, and time to decide.
4
Pre-operative assessment
If you choose surgery, the hospital checks your health and gives you advice on your medicines and preparation.
5
The day of surgery
You are admitted to Lancaster Private Hospital, meet Mr Reddy and the anaesthetist, and have your operation.
6
In hospital
Physiotherapists help you move, usually from the day after surgery, and you go home when it is safe.
7
At home
You follow an exercise plan and take things gradually. Swelling and stiffness settle over the weeks.
8
Follow-up
Mr Reddy reviews your progress in clinic until you are back to the things that matter to you.
Ready to talk about your hip or knee?
Appointments are booked directly with Lancaster Private Hospital using Mr Reddy's own clinic times. If you are insured, ask your insurer for an authorisation code first. Self-funding patients are welcome.
